Mountain Biking

Campbell River & Region boasts some of the best Cross Country / All Mountain terrain anywhere. Ride length is almost unlimited and the terrain varies from rolling singletrack to technical traverses with rock out-croppings and lake side descents.

Campbell River's Snowden Forest Trail

Most of Campbell River's trails are located in mature forests and tend to follow routes originally used by logging operations in the 1930′s. This area is known to locals as the Snowden Forest Trail Network.
The operations used railways to transport logs from the forest to the mouth of the Campbell River. What has been left over is a patchwork of old rail grades. These grades are wide, solid and are the perfect gradient to snake singletrack through. Connecting in between these main trails is a vast array of singletrack that will take you onto high bluffs overlooking nearby lakes and the mountains of Strathcona Park in the distance.

The Mountain Biking Summary of Campbell River & Region has been provided by Martin Ready with Island Mountain Rides. IMR has full knowledge of the Campbell River trail system and will provide the exact routes to maximize flow and momentum. They will show riders the best views accessed through the best trails!

BC Bike Race challenged riders in the Campbell River trail network for the first time in July 2011. Read reviews from Pinkbike.com or view the photo gallery.
